Madcala

Players face off in an asymmetric two-player duel set at a whimsical tournament hosted by the Cheshire Cat. Each side fields a champion and a set of unique "Plus-One" allies that grant distinct abilities and strategic options. On a turn, a player selects a plate of beads, scoops them up, and drops one bead on each subsequent plate; the plate where the last bead lands determines the action the player takes. Players use these bead-distribution moves, champion actions, and Plus-One powers to damage the opponent and reduce their health to zero.

Excelente juego en su propuesta, una lucha tu a tu utilizando el Mancala para obtener la mejor acción y derrotar a tu enemigo. Además la asimetria de los poderes de los personajes le da un toque con mucha rejugabilidad.

In this 1 v 1 battle you take on the role of a wacky ♥️ Wonderland character. You and your guests each bring their own abilities to the ? tea party, and each ? plate that you land on provides you opportunities to hinder your opponent or heal yourself. The goal is to knock your opponents health down to zero, ending the game. Mancala was one of my favorite and most played games as a child, so I have always had a soft spot for it and couldn’t wait to get my hands on this asymmetric beauty by @druidcitygames. I can’t say I’m the biggest ♣️ Alice in Wonderland fan, but I do appreciate the art here and know of the cult that follows Wonderland War, so I had high expectations. Thankfully, they did not disappoint. Yes, it’s got that key element of mancala but this is so much thinkier! With 6 different player options (8 if you have the Tweedles and ? Caterpillar expansion like we do), the combinations are endless. Component quality is fantastic, with a great insert that easily fits the playmat. This is everything I want in a mancala style game.
