Mauwi

Players command clans of warrior cats seeking to assemble three ‘mauw’ (sets totaling nine) across separate columns. On a turn a player plays a card to open a new column, reinforces an existing column by adding cards or matching values to reach nine, attacks another player with a warrior to steal cards and complete combinations, or blocks an opponent’s column with a spirit (value 0). Hand size is kept at four by drawing at the end of each turn. Play continues until a player has achieved three mauw in three columns. The deck includes new character cards and updated mechanics themed around Maori spirits and the cats’ nine lives.
