Mutant City Blues

A stand-alone GUMSHOE investigation game set in a contemporary city where a sudden mutation event has given one percent of the population extraordinary powers. Players take the roles of detectives in an elite unit handling crimes involving the mutant community, from powered murders and victims to mutant battles and political tensions. Investigations combine forensic science with interviews, chases, and the analysis of unusual abilities. Detectives use specialist procedures to identify mind control, energy attacks, and genetic links between powers while managing their own mutations and personal issues. The GUMSHOE rules focus on keeping investigative play moving by ensuring key clues are available.
