Napoleon at Bay: Defend the Gates of Paris, 1814

A historical wargame set during Napoleon’s 1814 campaign in France, as French forces maneuver against advancing Prussian armies and defend the approaches to Paris. Players command French and Allied formations, using cavalry vedettes to scout and screen movements while concealing their own force structure. The game includes seven introductory scenarios and a 31-turn campaign. Standard series rules cover command and administration, leader initiative, march attrition, forced marches, cavalry reconnaissance, and multi-round pitched battles. The system uses 3,200-meter hexes, 1,000 men per strength point, and two-day turns.
