On the Underground: Paris / New York

Players build and extend subway lines on a map of either Paris or New York, each controlling several colored lines and placing track tokens to connect stations. On each turn, four destination cards are available and players take up to four actions—either placing track or taking branch tokens that allow splitting lines. After a turn, a passenger token travels along players’ lines toward one or two selected destinations; visited destination cards are replaced and scoring occurs when the passenger uses a player’s track. Points come from laying track and connecting specific station types (including landmarks in Paris and water crossings in New York), meeting secret objectives (Paris), and carrying the passenger. The game ends when all destination cards are drawn and players have taken equal turns.
