Orbital

Orbital is a board game for 0 players.

A near-future science-fiction roleplaying game set in a realistic version of the solar system around 2100. Earth and Luna are locked in a Cold War while independent Mars and Mercury, corporations, agencies and other groups compete to colonise the moons of Jupiter and Saturn. Players portray spacers working aboard a corporate deep-space vessel, taking on jobs such as hauling cargo, mining asteroids, salvaging equipment, conducting rescues and exploring distant locations. Rules cover TL 9 characters, nuclear-thermal spacecraft, rotating habitats, space hardware, vehicle operation, colony building and the hazards of working in space. The setting includes detailed solar-system locations, organisations, plot ideas and optional mysteries involving alien ruins and SETI transmissions.
