Pioneers and Saboteurs

Build the rails. Break the rules. Become a pioneer—or a saboteur. This narrative module adds secret roles, personal objectives, and a dual-path reputation system to route-building games. Each turn, players draw an event card offering supportive or disruptive actions, or continue with normal play. Reputation unlocks abilities such as drawing extra cards, building additional routes, hiding tickets, blocking opponents, and crossing existing routes. Players score through reputation milestones, role-based goals, and strategic use of their abilities. A compatible route-building base game is required.
