Small Star Empires: Dawn of Discoveries

In a galaxy shaped by intergalactic conflict, rare energy-rich crystals open the way to new technological advances. Players colonize planetary systems, collect crystals, and spend them to research available technologies or build research stations. Technology cards provide special movement, asteroid colonization, weapons, shields, and other abilities. When an opponent colonizes a system next to a research station, both players gain a research bonus and an additional crystal. Researched technologies can also contribute to end-game scoring, encouraging choices between expansion, scientific development, and military strength.
