Sound of a Thousand Screams

Players continue as rulers of a frontier kingdom as a long-dormant conspiracy transforms the land itself into a hostile force. The boundary between the realm and an alien, fey-touched Other World begins to break down, forcing characters to confront nature made violent and extraplanar emissaries bent on destabilizing the nation. The adventure runs at high-level play, presenting political and battlefield challenges, exploration into a bizarre First World, and new monsters and revelations tailored for veteran characters. Gameplay emphasizes strategic combat, kingdom-level consequences, and dealing with reality-warping threats while managing the rulers’ holdings and sanity.
