Symbaroum

A dark-fantasy roleplaying setting centered on the vast, ancient Forest of Davokar and the frontier kingdom that borders it. Players take on the roles of explorers, merchants, warriors or agents of political and mystical factions as they travel into the forest, visit barbarian clans, and operate within the capital city. Gameplay focuses on investigation, exploration and conflict resolution rather than tactical combat: characters gather resources, pursue treasures and knowledge, negotiate or raid clan holdings, and build influence with princes, guilds or refugee groups. Magic and ancient guardians of the forest present both opportunities and dangers that shape campaigns and character choices.
