Tales of the Arabian Nights

Players portray characters in a 1001 Nights–style world who roam a map of mythical Arabia and experience episodic adventures. Encounters are resolved through a paragraph-style storytelling system: another player reads events and presents choices that lead to further paragraphs and outcomes. Characters develop skills and gain statuses (for example married, cursed, despondent) that open or restrict options, while money and reputation track progress toward the end goal of returning to Baghdad wealthy. Variants shift focus: a Quest mode sends players hunting for quests, and a Merchant mode converts adventures into caravan progress on a secondary board.
