The Black Monastery (Swords & Wizardry)

A classic fantasy adventure module for five to seven characters of seventh to tenth level, centered on a fortified monastery and its surrounding threats. It includes maps and descriptions for the monastery’s main level, two towers, and three dungeon levels, including two separate dungeon areas. The adventure uses a sandbox structure, allowing the party to choose which locations to explore, challenges to face, and encounters to avoid. Combat, investigation, and difficult decisions can occupy a group for a dozen sessions or more, and survival depends on the party’s choices rather than a fixed sequence of events.
