A strategic simulation of the American Civil War covering the Eastern seaboard through central Texas (with an optional Far West extension). Players manage three Theaters—East, West, Trans‑Mississippi—assigning them priority a turn in advance to allocate Command Points for operations. Forces are abstract Strength Points (about 5,000 men per SP, or ironclad units). Play proceeds in multi‑pulse turns where dice determine action opportunities; Command Points fund movement, forming Armies, fortifications, naval units, promotions and other actions. Over 60 historical leaders appear with ranks and ratings that affect how many SPs they command and how efficiently those forces move and fight. The system includes detailed naval and riverine warfare, supply, railroads, cavalry, militia and an elaborate combat procedure. Victory depends on capturing cities, winning neutral states and special Southern objectives; shorter historical scenarios are included.
