The Mountain's Shadow

A short science-fiction roleplaying adventure in which the characters are hired to recover a personal item from ruins submerged beneath a high-altitude lake. Their search uncovers a century-old secret and draws the attention of a relentless guardian determined to silence anyone who disturbs it. The characters must decide whether to expose the truth, conceal it, or bargain with dangerous allies, with consequences for every choice. The adventure uses a 2D6-based system and can be played with Cepheus Engine, the Original Science Fiction Roleplaying Game, or adapted to other systems.
