The Mysteries of Peking

Players take the role of detectives in Chinatown searching a neighborhood for a hidden culprit. Movement around the board lets players visit various witnesses to collect descriptive clues (glasses, scar, mustache, hat) and interrogate special witnesses whose information can confirm lies or reveal hiding places. Players use fortune cookies to shift dragon tokens and block opponents’ access to locations, then deduce the culprit’s identity and move to the dragon where the culprit hides. The game includes three physical decoders (a red filter, a mirror and a mask card) used to read different clue types and confirm the solution.
