Mortua is a land of the dead, where zombies and other undead roam the wastelands under the influence of the half-lich Achren Arcanon. Although the people of its few settlements recognize him as lord, true rulership remains uncertain. Achren’s son, Senachren, travels in hiding under the protection of his guardian, Emmette, preventing his father from claiming complete mastery. This setting presents Mortua’s bleak landscape, divided lordship, and undead inhabitants for use in dark fantasy adventures.
