The Stygian Library (Remastered)

An infinite extradimensional library serves as a creepy, genteel dungeon filled with dangerous knowledge, spiritual automata, ghost-fueled computers, and strange inhabitants. Each expedition generates its route as it unfolds, revealing locations such as tea rooms, planetariums, phantom databanks, paper beehives, and jarred brains. The adventure provides systems for exploring the library, searching for specific knowledge, and generating treasures, dreams, rumors, books, and other details. It includes 40 library-themed monsters, unusual books and their secrets, and the Mummified Sages, post-human academics who have spent decades within the stacks. The rules use sparse mechanics and are broadly compatible with old-school and other fantasy role-playing games.
