Unusual Suspects: A Gallery of NPCs Both Fair and Foul

This collection presents 60 original non-player characters for fantasy roleplaying campaigns. Each entry includes a complete stat block, history, tactics, and guidance for using the character as a random encounter, recurring adversary, ally, or a combination of these roles. The cast includes beggars, bandits, guides, guardians, a crooked watchman, a poisoner, an exiled prince, and other unusual figures. Three NPCs are provided at each Challenge Rating from 1 to 20. The stat blocks are designed for Pathfinder, while the backgrounds and usage advice can be adapted to other fantasy roleplaying systems.
