Yggdrasil Chronicles

Players take the roles of Norse deities trying to protect the nine worlds and the world tree from invading enemies and the approach of Ragnarök. The game uses a three-level, rotating board representing the nine worlds; each turn begins by revealing an enemy from a personal enemy deck and resolving enemy activations and movements. Players then move between worlds and either perform that world’s action (gathering elves, heroes, artifacts, or removing minions) or fight enemies. Combat always succeeds but generates risks that players must mitigate with sacrifices, dice saves, or assists; unremoved risks cost life points and can end the game. Enemies that overlap devastate worlds, and specific enemy behaviors and placement can trigger win or loss conditions. A harder variant grants unique god powers, and a linked multi-saga campaign advances through a sequence of scenarios.
