Players act as ancient, powerful beings vying to control three grim, gaslamp-lit battlefields by summoning minions, casting spells, and equipping enchanted items. Each round begins with a randomized energy roll that determines available resources, which players spend during an Action Phase to play creatures, improve units with possessions, draw cards, move forces, or add energy. Combat resolves in a Battle Phase where custom dice tied to minion attack values produce misses, hits, double hits, or criticals; Omen tokens allow limited rerolls and tactical adjustment before assigning damage to enemy minions or to the battlefield. Play combines deck-building, resource management, dice-driven combat, and tactical positioning across three contested fronts.
