Sidereal Confluence

Players take on one of nine asymmetrical alien races and negotiate open, multiplayer trades to acquire the resource cubes needed to run their economies. Each race has a unique deck of technology and culture cards that convert inputs into outputs—cubes, ships, colonies, and victory points—so players must barter goods and services because individual outputs rarely match individual needs. Rounds feature an open trading phase where anything negotiable (resources, ships, colonies, temporary use of technologies) can be bought, sold, or exchanged, followed by simultaneous resolution of each economy and a phase for sharing or bidding on newly researched technologies. Victory points come from researching technologies, running efficient converters, and converting leftover goods into points.

Parecía una mierda de juego de cartas de trapicheos espaciales pero me ha gustado bastante y volvería a jugarlo sin duda alguna.

Don't buy this, it's changing cubes for other cubes. Nothing more.

I used to not like trading/negotiating games, (still mostly don't). This game was no exception, but within first 5 min of playing this game I was definitely into it. Where other games you play a board and cards and territory and negotiation is part of that. This game is all negotiation, it is centered around it instead of shoe-horning it in. You do want a higher player count for this game (supports 8!! crazy! no we're not talking about the zeth, I meant 8). Honestly the more the merrier for this game as all aspects of this game are asynchronous you for the most part don't take longer or lose more time when adding more players. I find that I would ideally want 5 or more people playing. 4 would be the lowest I would ever attempt. There are a few gotchas to the rules, every faction plays differently and if you are teaching you really really ought to know them well enough to teach them and their basic strategies. If you fail to explain fully to one of the players you will severely hamper their satisfaction of the game. There are maybe 2-3 "easy" factions that can be given to the new players, otherwise if someone has already played before they can probably pickup any of the other factions with little difficulty. Absolutely a blast, especially with the right group.

Въпроси за правилата

Отговори от книжката с правила от помощника за правила на Ludoya.

Are trades binding — can someone back out after a deal in the Trade Phase?

Trades made during the Trade Phase are binding once all parties agree; breaking an agreed deal can incur the penalties described for the Trade Phase (no renegotiation). (p.10)

When I 'run' a violet converter, do I run the top card or put a new card into play?

Running a violet converter executes the converter’s top card; when upgrading a converter you may either run the top card or spend to put it into play, per the converter rules. (p.11)

What happens in the Economy Phase if I can’t pay Colony Support?

During the Economy Phase there is no negotiation and you must perform the Colony Support check; if you cannot support a colony you must discard it as specified in the Economy Phase rules. (p.12)

If I share a technology during Confluence, do I get the Sharing bonus and when is it awarded?

Yes — when you share technology during the Confluence step you earn the Sharing bonus as described in the Confluence rules; follow the sharing procedure in that phase to claim it. (p.14)

Can I split my ships between colony bids and research team bids?

You may split your ships between bids in the Confluence (colony vs. research); see the Confluence bidding rules for how to allocate, reveal, and resolve buy/pass decisions. (p.14–15)

How do wild resources work — how do they count for costs and support?

Wild resources are subject to the size rules printed on them and count according to their printed size when used for costs or support, with special interactions noted for certain species (see the wild resource section). (p.13)
