Actions include building infrastructure like Lagrange point spaceports, launching exploration missions to Mars, mining asteroids, and extracting resources from Jovian moons. Players research technologies, decode alien biology, and prepare crews for long voyages, progressing through era-specific boards that represent Mariners (inner system exploration), Planeteers (outer solar system settlement), and Starfarers (nearby star missions and colony founding). Play focuses on resource management, mission planning and technological development as companies compete for profit and influence while expanding human presence in space.

Can I use Infra on an opponent's HQ to power my action?

Yes — you may declare use of all matching Infra on any one HQ (yours or an opponent's); if you use an opponent's Infra that opponent receives a reward, and opponents' Infra or bases cannot be used once the end of an era is triggered (pages 6, 7, 13).

Do I need a team at a site to Produce from a Discovery tile?

No — a tile is eligible for Produce if it has a P# and you have any type of base there; a team need not be present to collect profit (page 12).

How do I calculate the distance when I Move—do I add gravity and border costs?

Calculate Move by counting 1 to lift off, add the cost of any region borders crossed (the diamond values), add 1 to land at the destination, and include any gravity penalty for the start or end site (penalties are cumulative); Mars and the Asteroid Belt have special rules noted on the board (page 9).

Can I Research if I already have more than seven cards?

No — you may only declare a Research action when you have seven or fewer cards in hand, though there is no upper hand-size limit so Research can leave you with more than seven after resolving (page 8).

When I Explore, do I immediately 'claim' the site and can another player build over my claim?

Yes — exploring places the Discovery tile and your team atop it to indicate your claim, which lasts only while that team remains; if an opponent builds a base on a site you claimed, the exploring player gains 2F as recompense (pages 10–11).
