Cat Lady

Players collect cats and accessories by drafting sets of three cards each turn, choosing toys, food, catnip, costumes, and the cats themselves. Cards provide points, abilities, and resources; players must balance acquiring new felines with securing enough food to feed them, since unfed cats cause negative points. The game resolves scoring via victory points from cats and items, and the highest total wins.

Very light set collection drafting game with a well implemented cute theme. It's nothing new but it's a solid little package.

Dubtes de regles

Respostes a partir del reglament per l'assistent de regles de Ludoya.

Can I take any row or column from the 3×3 grid on my turn?

You must take an entire row OR an entire column of three cards (no diagonals), but you cannot take the row or column that the cat token is next to; after taking you move the cat token next to the row/column you took. (page 4)

When I take a food card do I keep it or play it immediately?

When you take a food card you must immediately discard the card and take the corresponding food cube(s) (x2 cards give two cubes; wild cards give a purple wild cube). Keep the cubes until the end of the game. (page 6)

How does feeding cats and the food penalty work — are partial feeds worth points?

Each cat must be fully fed to score its VP; partial feeding gives no partial points — an unfed cat costs you 2 VP instead. After feeding, the player with the most leftover food cubes loses 2 VP (ties all lose 2). (pages 5, 6)

When can I play Lost Cat or Spray Bottle cards and what do they do?

You keep Lost Cat and Spray Bottle cards in your hand and may play them any time during your turn; two Lost Cats may be discarded to take a face-up stray cat or a 2‑VP token, and playing a Spray Bottle lets you move the cat token to block or reveal a row/column. (pages 4, 7)

How do costumes, catnip and toys score at the end of the game?

Costumes: the player with the most costumes gains 6 VP (ties split the VP) and having zero costumes costs 2 VP. Catnip: 1 catnip = −2 VP, 2–3 catnip = +1 VP per fully fed cat, 4+ catnip = +2 VP per fully fed cat. Toys: score by number of unique toys per set (1→1, 2→3, 3→5, 4→8, 5→12 VP) and you may score multiple sets. (page 6)
