Legado Perdido: La Nave y El Jardín Flotante

Players search for a single hidden artifact among a shifting set of cards while using hand-played abilities to gather information and disrupt opponents. Each turn a player draws one card, plays one of two cards in hand, and resolves that card’s effect, which can force reveals, swaps, peeks, or other interactions that change who holds which cards or what is in play. When the deck runs out, an investigation phase begins: players use the investigation value on their remaining card to guess who (or the shared Ruins pile) holds the Lost Legacy card; a correct guess wins the game, otherwise the round ends without a finder. Different themed 16-card sets can be used alone or combined to alter available powers and player count.

This is a short mircogame in a similar vein to love letter, but it's vastly better. The original art is fantastic (forget the AEG version along with their terrible card text changes). The idea of the game is that you are looking for the number 5 card. It could be in a player's hand, in the draw, or in the face down discard pile. On your turn, you have a card in your hand. You draw a card, and then play a card and resolve it's ability which will either give you information, or possibly remove a player from the game. When the pile runs out, there's an investigation phase where remaining players take turns guessing where the 5 is. If they can point it out, they win. Otherwise the next player in ascending numerical order guesses, using the numbers printed on the card remaining in their hand. There is a ton of replayability thanks to the modular system where each of the sets comes with 2 decks and with 5 or 6 players, you can mix either of the two decks from this set with one of the two decks from the other two sets to make a different experience each time. :star: Art, Iconography and components functional :star: Clever or interesting mechanisms :star: Reasonably low downtime between turns with mildly AP players :star: Multiple plays stay interesting :nostar: Low or mitigatable luck elements :star::star::star::star::star: Raw enjoyment
