The Check Deck

This accessory transforms a standard Checkers board into a hybrid card-and-board game. Players keep the usual checker moves and jumps, but may instead play one of seven hand cards on their turn to alter the board: examples include moving two pieces one space each, swapping one piece with an opponent’s, or crowning a piece as a king. Hands are replenished from a 34-card deck (two copies of 17 unique effects) and a rules reference is included. Play alternates as in Checkers, with card play substituting for a normal move when chosen, adding tactical options alongside the traditional movement and capture mechanics.
