Bitter Woods Deluxe Edition

A mid-complexity hex-and-counter wargame simulating the December 1944 Ardennes offensive. The map shows roads, rivers, cities and terrain across the Belgium–Luxembourg–Germany border region at a 2-mile hex scale; units represent battalion to regiment formations and each turn covers 12 hours. Play emphasizes operational-level decisions: maneuver and blitz tactics, leader effects, morale, initial German surprise, front-line boundaries, and Allied air interdiction. The Deluxe edition increases component quality and usability with a larger cardstock map, enlarged 5/8" counters, updated cartography and orders of battle, expanded rulebook and players’ handbook, player aid cards, random events and variant scenarios for extended replayability.
