Dune

Set thousands of years in the future on an arid desert planet, players represent rival factions vying for control of the planet’s valuable spice and political power. Each faction has asymmetric special abilities that alter rules and encourage different strategies. Players move forces across a modular map to harvest spice, avoid or exploit sandworms and storms, and contest territories. Conflicts resolve with hidden bidding and treachery cards, while negotiation and shifting alliances shape the balance of power. The game ends when a faction—or two allied factions—occupies the required number of strongholds.
