2020 · Card Game

15 Days

Players take alternating turns performing two actions from four options until a player completes all four seasonal sets or one of the two season draw stacks is exhausted. On a turn, players draw two season cards from the visible stacks, draft a face-up market or discard card, place cards into one of four seasonal corners on their player board (using discards to pay placement costs), or discard a pair matching a played season to claim a wild card and immediately fill a missing number. Majority control of a season grants a wooden animal with a small ongoing bonus. Endgame scoring counts the longest uninterrupted number sequence per season, awards points for wooden animals, and penalizes empty corners; highest total wins.

Clever little card game PROS - Getting the animals is the central point of the game, but it works well and creates interesting dynamics around the table. - Short playing time. - Nice artwork and great production values. CONS - There is a fair amount of luck involved in the game, which may upset some players. - Some animals can feel overpowered, but it shoudl be seen as an incentive to try and grab them from the player using their powers.
