1953 Everest
Players lead national expeditions racing to make the first ascent of Everest during a brief 1953 climbing season. The game uses a growing tableau of cards to represent the mountain: players build routes, establish camps, move supplies and sherpas, and outfit climbers while weather and the approaching monsoon limit time. Each turn requires logistical choices and timing—where to place support, when to push higher, and which climber attempts the summit. Resource movement, card management, and tactical planning determine whether an expedition reaches the top before others or must retreat.
