Caylus 1303
Guild leaders vie to build the town for a newly arrived king, sending workers to collect resources and construct buildings along the road to the castle. Players place workers, manage scarce resources and workers’ placement order, recruit characters with changing loyalties, and invest in construction to earn points. Variable setup and special-character abilities change opening conditions and strategies, while streamlined rules shorten playtime compared with the original design.

Garfield6.0 Gather ressources to trade in for points and to build buildings. Nice idea with the moving knight that determine which buildings are producing. Could it be that the player that manages to get more meeples at the beginning will have an advantage? Rules questions
Answered from the rulebook by Ludoya's rules assistant.
Do I have to return an extra Worker after someone passes, and can I avoid that cost?
Yes — once the first player passes, any later Worker placements cost an additional Worker returned to the Camp until you pass; the first player to pass takes the First Player tile (p.4). The Night Worker lets you keep placing Workers without paying that extra cost, and the Early Riser can place one extra Worker at the very start by returning one (pp.4, 8, 12).
Can I place a Worker on a Building that already has another player's Worker?
Normally no — placing on an occupied Building is prohibited (p.4). The Journeyman is the exception: once per round you may place on an occupied Building and your effect resolves after the existing Worker; additionally, placing on another player's Building normally gives them +1 Prestige Point unless the Thief is used (pp.4, 8, 12).
Which Workers get activated during Phase 2, and what makes a Worker not activate?
During Activation, Buildings are resolved in order from the City Gate along the Road up to the Provost; any Worker placed on Buildings beyond the Provost is not activated and is returned to the Camp (pp.4–6). The Provost position (and players moving it via Toll/Guilds Bridge) determines which spaces are activated that round (p.5).
How does Delivery at the Construction Site work — what is a valid bundle and who wins the Favor?
A delivered bundle must be three different resources and must include the meat resource, with each bundle worth 5 Prestige Points (p.6). The player who delivers the most bundles that round gains a Favor (ties go to the player who placed earliest), and some Characters (Deliveryman, Chamberlain) modify delivery rules (pp.6, 9, 12).
At Stewardship, do starting Buildings automatically become Residences and can I replace them with Monuments?
Yes — during Stewardship all starting Buildings above which you have a House flip to their Residence side automatically (p.7). Then, proceeding from the Guilds Bridge along the Road, each Residence owner may replace it with a Monument by paying its cost and immediately gains the Monument's Prestige Points (p.7).
When and how do character abilities trigger — can I use them at any time?
Each Character has a specific timing: e.g., the Early Riser triggers at the very start of Planning, the Night Worker affects extra-placement costs after passing, Journeyman and Thief affect placement, Bailiff moves the Provost after Guilds Bridge, and Delivery-related Characters apply at Delivery; consult the character entries for precise timing and limits (pp.8–9, 12).
