Across the Board

Eleven race horses are auctioned and eight races are run with a pari-mutuel betting system. Players choose a racetrack, buy horses in an open auction and place bets across the board in win, place and show pools. Dice rolls advance the horses around the track, with payouts made when three horses finish each race. Auction costs return to the game during the third, fifth and eighth races, and the player with the most money at the end wins.
