Castelnuovo 1539: Come whenever you dare!

A mid-16th century siege between Spanish defenders and a vastly larger Ottoman force. One player commands the garrison and fortifications; the other directs the besieging army and fleet as they attempt to seize key sectors or destroy the garrison. Gameplay uses upright wooden unit blocks with hidden identities, an area-divided board representing walls, bastions, trenches and batteries, dice-driven combat and separate card decks for each side. Cards provide orders, combat modifiers, trench-digging and special events, while movement, assaults and bombardment resolve through dice rolls and card effects.
