2020 · Card Game
Emboscados
Players take the roles of different animal species in a forest, each secretly assigned a predator and a herbivore type. Five predator cards sit in a row with three herbivores placed above them; on a turn a player moves an available herbivore into the column under a predator. When two identical herbivores become adjacent they resolve interaction by gender: same-gender pairs fight (one card is removed) and opposite-gender pairs mate (a cub token is placed on one parent). Predators then eat herbivores from the top of their column up to four size points, scoring points for each eaten card owned by that predator. Surviving herbivore cards and cubs of a player’s species also score points. The first player to reach nine points wins.
