Hanafuda
Play with a compact 48-card deck divided into twelve suits, each representing a month or a plant, using richly illustrated cards inspired by traditional Japanese designs. Players match cards from their hand to those on the table to form scoring combinations—sets of flowers, seasons, animals and special card types—while managing risk and timing to maximize points. Multiple rule variants exist; the common modern play follows Koi-Koi, a turn-based capture game where players decide whether to stop and score or continue to pursue larger combinations.

Tom2.5 Let's not kid ourselves, the reason this game has any appeal is 1.) Gambling, and 2.) Throwing cards at the table as hard as you can.
