Happy Camper
A two-player abstract game inspired by John Conway’s Game of Life, playable on any flat surface with pieces arranged in a square grid. Players first establish campsites and distribute campers between them. In the second phase, each turn removes a camper from the opponent’s campsite when it has fewer than two or more than three neighbors, then places it in the player’s own campsite where it has exactly three neighbors. The game ends when neither player can move. Players score campers using their quantity or assigned values, including optional hidden information with face-down numbered pieces.
