Histrio
Players recruit actors and resources across the kingdom to build a travelling theatrical troupe for the Munificent Theatrical Festival. Each round, cards are dealt to eight cities; players secretly choose a city to visit and reveal simultaneously. Solo visits claim that city’s cards, while contested cities have their cards discarded and instead grant secret objectives and opportunities to shift the king’s mood toward comedy or tragedy. Actors, animal characters with abilities, and money cards combine to form a troupe. At the end of two seasons, players score money based on how their mix of comedians and tragedians matches the king’s fickle mood; the highest total wins.
