It Never Snows

A tactical-level wargame of the Market Garden offensive in September 1944, covering airborne landings and the ground drive to link with them at 600 m per hex. Units generally represent companies (artillery battalions); each turn equals a half day, producing a 17-turn full campaign or a selection of shorter historical and map-based scenarios. Play separates the five-map area into distinct engagement zones so each airborne division’s fight can unfold independently. The Allied side plans and executes drops, establishes bridgeheads and conducts a fast-moving ground advance, while the German side assembles ad hoc formations, defends crossings, and counterattacks to sever Allied lines. The rules emphasize a low-overhead tactical model that handles set-piece and opportunistic attacks, indirect fires and air support.
