Kingsburg (Second Edition)

Players govern border provinces and prepare defenses as monstrous invaders gather at the realm’s edges. Gameplay runs over five years (20 turns) with three production seasons per year and a winter battle every fourth turn; each player must individually face the invading army. Players roll and place influence dice on members of the King’s Council to collect gold, wood, stone, soldiers, victory points, and special advantages, then use those resources to build structures and train troops. Turn order and placement mechanics help balance luck from dice rolls, letting lower rollers still gain useful benefits. This edition adds optional expansion modules, including alternate advisor rewards.
