Men at Work

Players act as construction-site workers stacking steel girders, tools, and coworkers to build a towering structure without causing a collapse. On each turn, players place or remove wooden pieces while managing balance and spatial constraints, with special actions and objectives tied to impressing the foreperson. The game uses modular rules that can be combined for different setups and adds variability through event cards and unique worker abilities. Components include wooden beams and figures organized in an insert for quick setup and teardown.

#53 Too boring gameplay and way too fiddly. Bricks are too slippery. I prefer Meeple Circus 100%

This is a silly stacking game that my group had a difficult time enjoying. The process is you flip a card and then attempt to place the object pictured in the location asked for. Eventually a card flips that starts awarding points each time someone places the highest piece in the structure. If someone knocks something over or drops something, their turn immediately ends and they lose one of their safety certificates. Lose them all and you are eliminated. Then, the next player in turn order has to clean up the mess you made, and if things drop during the cleanup, that player also takes the penalty. This was actually how the game went. I kept trying to place things ambitiously, but the pieces are a little more slick than I'm used to, so they would drop. :nostar: Art, Iconography and components functional :star: Clever or interesting mechanisms :star: Reasonably low downtime between turns with mildly AP players :nostar: Multiple plays stay interesting :nostar: Low or mitigatable luck elements :star::nostar::nostar::nostar::nostar: Raw enjoyment
