Players lead rival patrician houses charged with building a new imperial capital on the Bosphorus. On each turn, players deploy family members and retainers to construct buildings, control sea routes, secure resources, recruit specialists, and compete in the hippodrome. Actions and area influence earn favor with the Emperor while fulfilling private agendas. Scoring compares imperial contribution and individual objectives to determine which house gains supremacy.
