Noxford
Battle for influence in a dark Steampunk city in this spatial card game. Players place syndicate cards to surround valuable districts, or add neutral barracks that cancel nearby influence. Each card must touch at least two cards already in play, with at least two edges aligned. When a player plays their last syndicate card, districts are awarded to the player with the most surrounding influence. Districts provide victory points based on their symbols, with a bonus for a syndicate’s favored field.

Evan4.6 In this game, players get a hand of cards from symmetrical decks. On your turn you place a card into the central board from your hand or the face-up display, so that it touches two other cards, or you can overlay your card on top of another player card. If the card has gears printed on it, then you get to move another card on the central board to another location. All this is in service of the end game scoring, which happens when one player has emptied their deck of cards. Each card from the central display will go to the player with the most cards touching it's edges, with the notable exception that cards touching police cards don't count for anything. Each character has a scoring icon preference which grants them extra points but other than that each icon is simply worth one point. The flow of the game is really interesting, because you want to improve your situation by adding more icon cards, but that means that other players might be able to benefit from your work, and also possibly deplete their deck first meaning they get to define the temp of the game's end. It feels a lot like a super streamlined version of Gangs of New York: Five Points. :star: Art, Iconography and components functional :star: Clever or interesting mechanisms :star: Reasonably low downtime between turns with mildly AP players :star: Multiple plays stay interesting :star: Low or mitigatable luck elements :star::star::nostar::nostar::nostar: Raw enjoyment
Clever area control card game with majority sistem. Tiny but brainy. And steampunky beautiful
