2019 · City Building
Porto
Players shape a riverside city by laying floor tiles and playing cards in a fast, tactical, competitive game. On a turn, a player either draws cards (the drawn cards’ total value cannot exceed 3) or builds by playing two cards: one sets the exact number of floors to place and the other sets their color. Buildings are neutral on the board, so starting, extending or completing structures can benefit any player and requires close attention to opponents’ moves. Score comes from completing houses, claiming key spaces and fulfilling public and private contracts, plus chaining combos for big turns. The round in which a target number of buildings is completed ends the game; highest score wins.
