Pirates Under Fire
Players command pirate fleets in a tactical tile-laying game for two. Each ship is numbered from 1 to 9 and has a special ability. On a turn, a player places a ship on a sea space, resolves the space’s effect and the ship’s effect, and may optionally buy a mercenary ship by paying its cost. Players build combinations of three or more adjacent ships with matching numbers or increasing and decreasing sequences. After 16 turns per player, points are awarded for these combinations, ships placed on the opponent’s side, certain mercenary ships, and collected victory point tokens. The player with the most points wins.
