Summoner Wars (Second Edition)
Players take the role of rival summoners commanding unique faction armies on a gridded battlefield. Each turn players summon units to their gate, move and attack with units, and cast spells to outmaneuver the opponent and reduce the enemy summoner’s health to zero. The game uses faction decks with varied units and special abilities, and supports deck-building and expansions for new factions. It plays as a tactical, head-to-head card-and-board duel and can be played with physical cards or via an online app.

Rules questions
Answered from the rulebook by Ludoya's rules assistant.
Do summoned units have to be placed adjacent to my Summoner, and can I place them on occupied spaces or through other units?
You must place summoned units in legal spaces adjacent to your Summoner as described in the Summon phase; you cannot place them on occupied spaces or through blocked spaces (see p.6).
Can I move diagonally or count diagonal spaces when moving or measuring range?
No — spaces are counted orthogonally only; diagonal spaces do not count for movement or range (see p.7 for Movement rules and p.10 for Counting spaces).
How and when are Boost tokens placed and spent?
Boost tokens are placed or spent only when a card effect or ability tells you to; a boost token sits on a card and is spent to provide the boost effect as defined on the card and in the glossary (see p.10 and p.13).
What does 'Force' mean — does it damage units or just slide them?
Force is the slide effect that moves a unit into a different space; it moves (slides) units as specified and does not deal damage unless the card or effect explicitly states damage (see p.10 and the Force definition on p.15).
What's the difference between Event cards and 'Active' events — do Events resolve immediately?
Event cards resolve when played unless they are labeled as Active; Active events remain in the Active area and continue to provide their effect until removed (see p.9).
What happens when my draw pile runs out of cards?
When your draw pile is empty you shuffle your discard pile to form a new draw pile and then continue drawing as required (see p.9).
