Taifa: Intrigue and War in Medieval Spain
Expand a medieval kingdom through political intrigue, historical events, and conquest in 11th-century Spain. Players control Christian kingdoms or Muslim taifas, each using a different card deck and style of play. Across four turns, players draw variable hands of event, troop, and response cards, then play them in alternating rounds until everyone passes or runs out of cards. There is no economic system or army management on the map; control changes through card play and conflict. The player controlling the most areas at the end wins.
