2024 · Card Game
Up or Down?
Players build a ring of numbered cards and on their turn insert a card from their hand between two surrounding numbers, then take one of the neighboring cards into their personal display. Displays consist of up to three rows; when adding a second card to a row the player declares that row ascending or descending and stacks further cards accordingly. If a card cannot or will not fit a row’s order, the player may flip an entire row into a personal discard pile and start a new row with the current card. Play continues by drawing from one of two central piles until the deck is exhausted. At game end, each row scores by multiplying its length by the count of the most common color in that row; discarded cards score one point each.
