Zombie Kidz Evolution

Zombie Kidz Evolution

Players defend a school from a cartoonish zombie horde by moving through rooms and entryways, eliminating zombies and keeping the reserve replenished. The group works cooperatively to lock four entryways before the zombie reserve is exhausted; if a zombie must enter and none are available, the school is overrun and the players lose. The game uses a legacy-style progression: completing missions, applying sticker-tracked upgrades, and opening sealed envelopes adds new rules, powers, and characters that change future plays.

ENGLISH In Zombie Kidz Evolution players must work together to stop the zombies from taking over a school. A legacy family game, no so common, with almost immediate set-up ⏲️. Game is about removing zombies from the school and locking 4 gates to win. When too many zombies are in the place, players loose. For a kids game (with parents ?) it works really well ? : quick (5/15 min), FUN, perfect to experience teamwork (with the flaw of a player becoming leader ?), i know i will buy it several times as a birthday gift around 7/11 years ! Try it with your children, they will love that game !

Rules questions

Answered from the rulebook by Ludoya's rules assistant.

How do we win or lose the game?

You win by placing one lock on each of the four entryways; you lose if you must place a zombie but the reserve has no zombies left (Rulebook, pp.3, 5).

Can a hero move into or stay in a space that has 3 or more zombies?

No — you cannot move a hero into a space that contains 3 or more zombies, and if your hero is in such a space you must move them (the "three zombie" rule) (Rulebook, p.3).

What happens when I roll the zombie die?

Roll the zombie die and place the first zombie from the reserve into the room matching the die color; a white result means no zombie enters, and if you must place a zombie but the reserve is empty you immediately lose (Rulebook, pp.3–5).

How many zombies can I eliminate on my turn and where do they go?

You may eliminate up to two zombies on the space your hero occupies, and those removed zombies are placed at the end of the reserve line in a random order (Rulebook, p.3).

How do we place a lock on an entryway?

A lock is placed when a hero ends their turn on an entryway that already contains another hero (celebratory high-five), and each entryway can have only one lock (Rulebook, p.3).

When can we open an Evolution envelope or mark a mission as complete?

When you place a sticker on a numbered space you may open the Evolution envelope with that same number; after each game place a brain sticker on the passport and you may mark at most one mission as completed per game (Rulebook, p.5).

Opens Ludoya's rules assistant, which reads this game's rulebook.
