An investigative scenario for Cthulhu, designed for law-enforcement characters or other experienced investigators. The case begins with the abduction of a child by ordinary criminals, but deeper investigation reveals a conflict between two mystical forces. Pursuing both sides of the crime leads to an unexpected moral dilemma: how should the investigators deal with a monster that has committed no crime? The scenario supports both a classic investigative approach and a more adventurous, optimistic tone, and is intended for use with the Keeper’s Manuscript.
