3Deep Core Rules

A fast, rules-light roleplaying system for episodic adventures in any time or setting, from space opera and modern monster hunting to Arthurian fantasy. Most actions use the same mechanic: roll 2d6, add a stat and skill, subtract difficulty factors, and succeed on 8 or more. Weapons and armour are defined by relative weight, materials, and design rather than historical period. Play is divided into scenes, with limited bookkeeping, rapid recovery from injuries, and equipment supplied by the story. Characters have motivations that develop across connected episodes, and the rules support play with a Game Master or as a solo experience.
