Blue Max: World War I Air Combat

Players take the roles of World War I fighter pilots from opposing sides and engage in aerial duels over the Western Front. Gameplay models each aircraft’s characteristics—altitude, fuel, speed and maneuverability—using plane cards, maneuver charts and tracking sheets as players plan and resolve moves to gain firing positions and shoot down opponents. Two to six players form teams or fight individually, using hidden maneuver selection and dice-driven combat to simulate dogfights. Components support repeated scenarios and variable aircraft types, with a double-sided map and extensive counters for tracking aircraft status.
